David Martin
Mr. Martin has been practicing law in Sacramento and the surrounding communities for 18 years. A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Mr. Martin went on to earn his law degree from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. As the principal of the firm, Mr. Martin makes every effort to ensure that our clients have the best chance of winning their respective cases by working with staff and attorneys to develop winning strategies and by providing the necessary oversight to see that those strategies are properly implemented. Mr. Martin prides himself on making sure that what needs to be done gets done. David Watts


David Watts

David Watts joined this office in December 2014 and quickly distinguished himself through instincts and a professional commitment to protecting the rights of each and every client.  Before joining this office, David divided his time between his own law firm, coaching baseball, and running other businesses.

David brings a sense of compassion and fairness, while delivering aggressive and diligent representation. He quickly and thoroughly understands complex legal issues, and effectively communicates his understanding of nuanced and contentious matters, whether negotiating or litigating on behalf of his clients.

David is a graduate of McGeorge School of Law where, along with raising a family, he earned several academic honors and played for the Rugby Football Club.  He attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, where he earned his undergraduate degree in psychology and played on the baseball team.  In his personal time, David enjoys spending quality time with his children, golfing, playing baseball in a local league, and coaching various youth sports teams.

Patrick Crowl


Patrick Crowl

Pat Crowl grew up in the small town of Cottonwood, California. The small town values he learned growing up is what has made him as successful as he is today. He left Cottonwood at 18 years old for University of California, Davis where he graduated with a B.S. in Managerial Economics while also competing on the Track and Rugby teams. While at UC Davis he appeared on the Scholar-Athlete list and won Sigma Phi Epsilon’s Man of the Year award. After UC Davis, Pat accepted a job with Foster Farms to become a Management Trainee and eventually was selected to be a Plant Supervisor in one of their Distribution Centers. Pat left Foster Farms to grow his own business at UBS Financial Services where he managed over a Million Dollars in Client Assets. While working at UBS he earned his Masters in Business Administration degree from the Craig School of Business, California State University, Fresno. Pat was a recipient of the International Business Program Scholarship and the Provost Study Abroad Scholarship at Fresno State. After obtaining his Masters in Business Administration Pat decided he wanted to help people by becoming a lawyer. Pat obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Pat was a recipient of the Barrister’s Scholarship. During his studies at McGeorge he worked full time as a Law Clerk at a prominent Employment Law Firm in Sacramento. Pat also has received his Masters in Trial Advocacy from Temple University.

Nicole Thompson
Nicole is a licensed paralegal with the Law Office of David A. Martin & Associates. With her extensive knowledge of family law affairs, Nicole’s role with the firm is to make the legal process easier for our clients by assisting them in completing their financial disclosures and other court documents. Nicole is also able to assist clients by answering questions with the direction of a licensed attorney. Additionally, Nicole ensures that the office runs smoothly, taking phone calls, relaying messages, and ensuring that all matters are properly calendared and all documents are served and filed on schedule. Nicole finds her position with the firm to be very rewarding because she enjoys the satisfaction of making a positive impact on our clients’ lives.

Sara Wilson

Sara Wilson
Sara Wilson is an Administrative Assistant for the Law Office of David A. Martin. Sara plays a crucial role at our office, prepping attorney’s for hearings, answering phones, and filing documents. Sara graduated from Sacramento State University with honors, earning her undergraduate degree in History. Sara has a passion for international politics, economic history, and family law. In her free time, Sara enjoys rock climbing, slack-lining, and walking her dog, Baxter.
